Video: Horse Body Language Guides Acupressure Session

August 27, 2026•3 min read

In this video Diana discusses two questions students frequently ask: How do I know I’ve put my fingers on the exact location of the acupressure point? How do I know I’ve connected with the qi of the acupressure point? These are good questions. In this video, Diana shows you how the body language of the horse as he receives acupressure often provides the answers to these questions.

Why this matters: There’s a special quality to the places on the horse’s body where acupressure points are located. This quality, which you can learn to feel, reflects the concentration and movement of qi of each specific point. Regardless of whether you feel the qi, however, focus on your horse. When your fingers or palm activate the qi of the point, or fail to activate it, the horse will respond in some way.

As shown in this video, the horse’s body language will let you know if you’ve located the point, the qi is moving, and the acupressure is helping him relax. His actions also tell you if you aren’t on the point location, or the horse is uncomfortable and he needs you to change what you are doing.
